Over the river and thru the wood, to Grandmother's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh, thru the white and drifted snow, oh!...
I taught the kids that song on our way to Utah for spring break. We left 70° weather in Nevada for a winter wonderland. I wouldn't let the kids play out in it, so Grandpa Neil built a snowman for the kids on the kitchen counter.
We woke up "five in a bed" on Easter morning, not much different than home, except each child was holding a new stuffed bunny rabbit. Brody was excited that the Easter Bunny was in the bedroom while he slept and named his rabbit Sydney, after his new best friend next door.
It looked a bit like Christmas morning, with the fresh snow and presents by the fireplace.
"The Easter Bunny just hopped through the snow and thew our baskets into the chimney. Bulls eye!" -Brody
We had a wonderful Easter and are so thankful for our friends, family, and most of all, our Brother, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We celebrate His resurrection with humble and thankful hearts for the ultimate sacrifice he performed in our behalf. Because of Him we will all be made whole and have the opportunity to live together forever as a family.
